At Sinking Creek Kennels, we offer a variety of training options for your dog. We recognize that every dog is unique, which is why we offer personalized training options to meet your needs. Our goal is to help you and your dog live their best life, whether it’s through board & train, private sessions or group classes.
Obedience Training
We customize our obedience training to meet your needs. We will consult with you on your goals for your dog. If you are looking for basic manners or corrective behavioral issues we can help you and your dog. Training is available for dogs of any age puppies to adults. Training may include depending on your goal : sit, stay, place, heal, walking on leash, not pulling on leash, barking, jumping on people, chasing and more.
Board & Train Camp
Customized Training Program, your pup will board with us at Camp Sinking Creek. We have a 2 month min and the total stay is determined by your goals and your dog's progress. Dog must be up to date on vaccinations, pack their choice of food and leave the rest to us. You can come visit them at training camp.
Puppy Training
Customized Training Program to let them get off to the right start while they are young to learn basic manners. We can customize how your training is executed by our train and board program. Your pup needs dedicated time one on one. Contact us to learn more about options. Puppies must have all vaccines before beginning training.

Basic
In our Basic Gun Dog Training program, we focus on laying down the fundamental skills necessary for a successful hunting dog. From obedience training, to honing retrieving instincts, water work, gun conditioning Blake utilizes proven methods to bring out the best in your canine companion. We have a 4 month min stay at camp. The total stay at camp is determined by your goals and your dog's progress. Dog must be up to date on vaccinations. For these athletes we feed Purina Pro Plan which is included in your monthly rate. You can come visit them at training camp.
Gun Dog Board & Train Camp
Advanced
Our comprehensive program is tailored for experienced gun dogs and dedicated owners who seek proficiency in advanced skills such as cold blinds, advanced handling techniques, problem solving and skill refinement. With a focus on excellence and precision, we empower both you and your dog to tackle the most challenging hunting scenarios with confidence and skill. The total stay at camp is determined by your goals and your dog's progress. Clients are welcome to return for shorter tune ups as needed pre hunting season. New dogs have a 4 month minimum. Dog must be up to date on vaccinations. For these athletes we feed Purina Pro Plan which is included in your monthly rate. You can come visit them at training camp.
Hunt Test Training
AKC & HRC
We specialize in your dog for success in competitive qualifying events such as the HRC (Hunting Retriever Club) and AKC (American Kennel Club) hunt tests. Our goal is to equip them with the skills and expertise needed to not only pass these rigorous tests but also to achieve prestigious titles. These elite athletes stay at training camp for an extended time period and become part of our family. They are fed Purina Pro Plan which is included in the monthly cost.
Handler Training
Gun Dog & Hunt Test
Our Dog Handler Training, we teach you how to work with your dog so that you can get the most out of your time together in the field. Work directly with head trainer, Blake Haithcoat to better learn how to improve your hunting skills, master complex commands or better handle your dog during a hunt test. We offer a comprehensive training program that's designed to help you and your dog reach your full potential if you are new to dog training or a seasoned professional..

Boarding
Dog must be up to date on vaccinations, you pack the food of their choice and leave the rest to us. We have two large fenced in airing areas for your pup to run. Safety is our number one concern so we do not turn your dog out with others unless requested. All Dogs are stay overnight in their own large run.
